Known for its dramatic landscapes, towering cliffs and geothermal activity, Hell’s Gate is a must. You can cycle through the park, hike along the gorge, and see wildlife including zebras, giraffes and buffaloes. The park is also famous for its hot springs and for Fischer’s Tower, a favourite of rock climbers.

If you are up for a challenge, climb Mount Longonot, a dormant volcano whose summit gives panoramic views of the Rift Valley and into its crater. The trek is moderately strenuous but rewarding, with wildlife along the way and breathtaking scenery at the top. From the verandahs at Malu, Longonot is part of the view.
